In this release of BLOX Core (version 1.85.0), we have updated our X (formerly Twitter) API integration and fixed a number of bugs.
IMPROVEMENTS
The X (formerly Twitter) embed option in the article asset editor has been updated to work with X's latest API, ensuring that posts can be embedded properly within articles. Previously, embedding failed due to API changes. (TNCMS-554784)
BUGS
The DKIM tool now enforces validation to ensure that uploaded private keys conform to the expected PKCS#1 format. Previously, users were able to upload improperly formatted keys, such as those missing the required “-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----” and “-----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----” headers. This issue has been addressed to prevent misconfigurations that could impact email authentication. (TNCMS-554769)
We fixed an issue where individual notifications in Notifier admin would not open when clicked. (TNCMS-555659)
A bug in the Editorial/Assets search caused results to include assets not currently in draft status when filtering by Draft Only, due to the search query failing to check the latest revision status. This has been fixed by updating the query to verify both the current and last revision for the draft status flag, ensuring that only assets currently in draft status appear in results and improving overall search consistency within the Editorial/Assets module. (TNCMS-555597)
A critical issue was identified where exporting or duplicating an asset containing inline links to other editorial assets (UUID-based links) could result in entire paragraphs being stripped if the linked asset had a parent or sibling relationship to the original. This issue was introduced by TNCMS-555488 in a previous release. This fix ensures that paragraphs containing inline asset links are not removed during export or duplication and addresses the "ghost asset" issue in the WYSIWYG editor where removed relationships caused references to appear inconsistently. (TNCMS-555630)
A new update ensures that article Cover Art synchronization is enforced across syndicated content. If the source asset’s cover art is removed, the receiving site’s copy will also have its cover art removed to maintain content consistency. (TNCMS-555642)
A bug was identified in Notifier where manual messages were not including text when the asset’s “social_summary” field was empty. This issue affected Facebook post creation, causing posts to lack the manually entered description. Now, if “social_summary” (from the Social tab of the asset) is empty, Notifier will now correctly use the manually entered text from the message form. This ensures proper fallback logic for Facebook posts to prevent missing descriptions. (TNCMS-555683)
This release also makes minor infrastructure changes that should not be noticeable to admin or front-end users.
