Subscription 1.66 is a major release packed with behind-the-scenes improvements, bug fixes, and future-ready updates. This release includes enhancements to subscription widgets in the BLOX NXT Community Dashboard, support for article gifting with Free services, and fixes for issues related to backup gateways and the cancel report. We’ve also made infrastructure updates and additional bug fixes that won’t be visible to admins or front-end users but help ensure a smoother, more reliable experience overall.
FEATURES
Free subscription services now support Article Gifting. Partners can enable this on the Configure tab in the Service settings to allow users to share articles via email or link, just like with other service types. (SUBSCRIPTN-557544)
BUGS
We fixed an issue that prevented the Backup Gateway field from being cleared or left blank when creating or editing a service. (SUBSCRIPTN-557500)
We fixed an issue in the Cancel Report where the first character of the Cancel Reason was sometimes missing, and Cancel Notes incorrectly displayed "canceled" instead of the actual notes. (SUBSCRIPTN-557684)
BLOX NXT
In BLOX NXT, saved cards in a user’s wallet can no longer be removed if they are linked to an active subscription. An error message will appear if removal is attempted while the card is still in use for renewal. This feature applies to Audience+ partners using Premium Credit Card Management. We updated the New Subscriptions widget in the NXT Community Dashboard to use BLOX data instead of Google Analytics, aligning with Data Insights. This change provides a more accurate view of new subscriber acquisition. (SUBSCRIPTN-557617)
We updated the Top Assets by Conversion Leads widget to rename the "Conversions" column to "Conversion Leads" for clarity, as the metric tracks pre-conversion article engagement rather than completed conversions. (SUBSCRIPTN-557587)
We updated the Conversions by Access Rule widget in the Community Dashboard to display only the top 10 access rules by conversions, improving readability for partners with large rule sets. (SUBSCRIPTN-557658)
We’ve added backend support for partial refunds through open credits on subscription transactions in BLOX NXT. This functionality will be available to NXT customers in a future release of the NXT admin interface. (SUBSCRIPTN-557630)
