This release improves the initial versions of Automated Production and Cross-Domain Page Cloning and resolves certain problems faced by sites that use distinct workflows. The most significant addition is the ability to automatically export images for toning right after placement.
There was an internal problem with the resolution of the page number. Page numbering resolution has been corrected. Multiple things triggered it, but the most recognized part was Ad Statuses, which could fail to open. (INDESIGN-4267)
We have one macOS site with some odd configuration that prevents Adobe InDesign from accessing the workstation’s User Data folder. This, in turn, was causing a silent warning in the log. We’ve worked around this situation without our ability to test their unique configuration directly. (INDESIGN-4268)
The Template Master BLOX Total CMS > Development > Add Components… function now has the option to add the Snippet Label Components consisting of the Layer and the Object and Paragraph Styles used by our UXP-based plug-in to export snippets with labels on the pages. Spawn Template will no longer allow users to choose the Snippet Labels layer added with our UXP-based plug-in for snippet export as a default layer. (INDESIGN-4249)
Rather than opening and closing a document to allow certain older versions of Adobe InDesign to work with the macOS menus, we now create and close an untitled document. This removes the need for the osWorkaround documents. In addition, from testing, it appears that once macOS has reached version 13.5, the issue is solved, so we’ll no longer do either action. (INDESIGN-4246)
We had a report from a site with an unsupported version of Adobe InDesign. It would occasionally fail to activate documents after opening, which was required to run the Ad Statuses functionality. Unfortunately, the logging of the actions couldn’t explain the failure. So, we’ve added additional logging. (INDESIGN-4118)
The Cross Domain Clone Page Sharing functionality will now check for assets on pages before continuing. If no assets exist, then the cloning Request will not be initiated. The Complete process will not be initiated if no assets have been properly replicated to the destination domain. (INDESIGN-4231)

This document outlines the basic use of Cross Domain Clone which was added to the BLOX Total CMS client for Adobe InDesign with version 5.69 in February of 2024.
This document outlines the Folio Text Variables that will exist even when the site and or user doesn't have access to the standard legacy add-ons for `folioProperties`.
We had one of our many Distributed Production sites file a support ticket indicating that if they recreated an edition using BLOX Total CMS > Documents > Advertising > Create Edition from Edition file... and a page switched from having ads to having no ads that the prior ads would remain for that page. This should be corrected now. (INDESIGN-4242)
We discovered that the long-standing policy of not sending updates to PDFs to Page Tracker once a page has reached the last process of the Pages workflow was not followed for Distributed Production-based pages. Thus, users could open a previously finalized page and update the PDF during check-in. This can cause Live e-Editions to update inadvertently. This has been changed. Only Output will update the PDF of a Distributed Production page at the final process. This matches the legacy behavior. (INDESIGN-4252)
We had a site ask for a Folio Text Variable with an Associated Press abbreviated month for next month. M5 now provides that. This link shows a current list of all automatic folio text variables. (INDESIGN-4255)
We had a site that experienced issues with opening documents using legacy methods. Open by Status is the recommended method, and the domain wasn’t consistently changing. Changes have been made to change the domain to match the document being opened sooner in the process. This is particularly important if the user is also opening a document from a prior version of Adobe InDesign because the earlier methods would fail until the document was forcibly saved to match the current version of Adobe InDesign.
