In this week's Zen template release, we are adding support for Schema.org Microdata attributes to BLOX Real Estate and BLOX Wheels details pages, which help major search engines (such as Google, Bing, etc.) understand the content of web pages. The better search engines can understand content, the better it can be indexed and displayed within search results. Read more about Schema.org here.
Cutout assets on Live e-Edition pages will now provide a print button when clicked on from the image map. Users can now more easily print these snippets, which may include items like comics, weather graphics, or ads. For more information on BLOX Live e-Editions, click here.
The "Auto: Price Range" meta tag has been created for Wheels Classified ads with defined prices. This will help provide a data collection point for the TownNews.com iQ program.
Previously, Touch 5 had its own Google Analytics tracking under a global TownNews.com account. This was in place to help gauge the growth of mobile traffic and device usage across all of TownNews.com's partners. TownNews.com has expanded this tracking now to all pages, and thus the Touch 5-specific tracking code has now been removed.
CHANGES
After completing the BLOX Ad-Owl process users will receive a receipt email that now includes business contact information as well as the users contact information.
Some cross-site scripting vulnerabilities were reported: an issue with eEdition search, and two issues that were caused by custom code on specific customer sites. These issues have now been fixed.
