This is a small release that has an update for macOS 12.x (Monterey) and additional versions of Adobe InDesign to restore menu operability. This also puts in place a future fix for the semi-automatic client upgrade feature.
The BLOX Total CMS client for Adobe InDesign and Adobe InCopy version 5.64.00-2 is recommend for all Adobe Creative Cloud based sites. It can be downloaded from the following link.
MacOS User Interface Workaround Extended:The macOS workaround, initially added for macOS version 12 and Adobe InDesign version 2022, has been extended to include both older and newer versions of Adobe InDesign. This change allows macOS workstations to allow normal mouse use with Adobe InDesign. An incompatibility would have normally required a user to use both mouse buttons to select menu items. In addition, the manual application of the workaround has been renamed to BLOX Total CMS > Update and Reset > Perform macOS Workaround. Our own testing indicates that current macOS 13.x and Adobe InDesign 2023 do not need any workarounds and we recommend updating. (INDESIGN-3959)
Bug fixes for semi-automatic client upgrade: The semi-automatic client update function had a logic error that caused it to work a maximum on one time. This has been fixed. In addition, client version 5.62 added a second bug that prevented it from working at all. All known issues have now been fixed. (INDESIGN-3963)
Layout 8000 Support Improvement: We had an SCS Layout 8000 customer who uses an alternate ad number function and also, occasionally, uses the Create Edition from Edition file with Specified Ad Layout Format… option, which is incompatible with the custom ad number function. Unfortunately, when that Layout 8000 is unable to generate ad numbers, it didn't alert the user to the problem and would stop processing with up to one ad per page using an ad number of undefined. It will now continue building the pages and alert the user to the ads that had no numbers without placing them with the undefined number. (INDESIGN-3983)
