At BLOX Digital, we believe success starts with finding the right people. The work we do here is changing the local media industry, and these are the people who are making it happen. Today we shine a light on Becky Castaneda, Customer Support Manager.
What is your background?
I have always been in customer service in one capacity or another. I started out in call centers and eventually transitioned to the point of sale industry where I moved from help desk tech to help desk manager. I was even a menu programming manager for Arby’s for some time. Then I moved into being a project manager for two different point of sale retailers. In 2020, I was fortunate enough to become a part of the BLOX Digital family and I haven’t looked back!
What do you love most about your job?
The customers and my coworkers. I love the relationships that I can build and maintain with our customers through their websites and our conversations. I am a people person, and I find true joy in being around the rest of the BLOX Digital staff and getting to hear from my customers every day.
What are you currently working on that you’d like everyone to know more about?
Comes with the title, Customer Support, but we are working to get our customers ready for the next season. There are a lot of projects running through our accounts, and we are doing what we can to move our customers through their requests as easily as possible!
What are you most excited about for the future of the news industry?
I am excited to see what else our development team can come up with! This industry is always changing and adapting to what the readers want and need. It is so interesting to watch how our team identifies an issue and is able to implement a solution that works!
What's something people don't know about you?
I have a wife and three kids, and I am the president of the board for an LGBTQ+ community center in the Quad Cities that focuses on youth. My life is complete chaos between our kids, pets, and the center—but I wouldn’t change it for the world!
