At TownNews, we believe success starts with finding the right people. The work we do here is changing the local media industry, and these are the people who are making it happen. Today we shine a light on Laurie Verkruysse, senior project manager.
What is your background?
I come from more of a desktop publishing background. I returned to school in 2005 when it became obvious that design related success was turning to the internet. In 2008, I joined the TownNews team after four years of freelance advertising.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the excitement I can spark in my customers during our project calls. It's great to be able to open them up to the possibilities for their site that they didn’t know are available.
What are you currently working on that you’d like everyone to know more about?
In general, our team strives to work more closely with our vendors and alleviate any additional steps from our documentation. We're always making an effort to streamline our processes.
What are you most excited about for the future of the news industry?
We have so much to offer our customers in the media industry here at TownNews. I'm excited as more things unfold that will certainly continue to assist our partners in their success.
What's something people don't know about you?
Writing is my passion, but I love all things that require creativity. I'm a published poet and do fully anticipate a book in my future as one day retirement may approach.
