What is your background?
I am a Quad Cities native from Bettendorf, IA. I joined the TownNews product team in 2021 after previously working as a project manager at another software company. I also served eight years in the Marine Corps and still currently serve part time in the Iowa National Guard as a Logistics Officer.
What do you love most about your job?
TownNews is very supportive and pushes the product team to be creative and innovative.
What are you currently working on that you'd like everyone to know more about?
Currently, we are working to bring back Elections software for our BLOX CMS-hosted sites before the 2022 midterm elections and 2024 races. I'm also really excited to be learning more about Data Insights and assisting with that project in the future.
What are you most excited about for the future of the news industry?
People only have so much time to read the news these days. I am excited to see how we adapt to the changes and technologies to increase engagement while improving user experience.
What's something people don't know about you?
I'm a tea enthusiast! On the weekends, I sell tea at Quad Cities farmers' markets and other events.
