At TownNews, we believe success starts with finding the right people. The work we do here is changing the local media industry, and these are the people who are making it happen. Today we shine a light on Phil Pracht, regional sales manager.
What is your background?
Before joining TownNews, I was a proud part-owner of an influential music discovery and streaming website called Daytrotter. In 2016, I was thrilled to join TownNews as a product manager where I oversaw the lifecycles of a number of revenue solutions we offer today including Business Directory, Classifieds, BLOX Ad-Owl and iQ Ad Ops. Then in 2019, I made the transition over to the sales team where I remain today, committed to helping our partners thrive.
What do you love most about your job?
I love hearing success stories from our partners! These stories always make me proud of work we do here at TownNews.
What are you currently working on that you’d like everyone to know more about?
It's a fact: our Audience+ solution yields more paywall conversions for our partners. We've seen it time and time again, and we've even had memorable conversations with many of you about this! If your newsroom has a goal to increase more paid readership for your publication, Audience+ can achieve, and more than likely surpass, those for you.
What are you most excited about for the future of the news industry?
In the last year, we've seen more of our partners focus on growing reader revenue digitally, tilting the scales away from advertising dependency and more towards their home-grown community support. That shift has allowed newsrooms to focus on generating excellent stories which, as a reader, makes me very excited for our future!
What's something people don't know about you?
I play drums in a band called Subatlantic. Hear us on Apple or Spotify!
