At BLOX Digital, we believe success starts with finding the right people. The work we do here is changing the local media industry, and these are the people who are making it happen. Today we shine a light on Rodrigo Tapia, Implementation Specialist.
What is your background?
My background is design and 2D/3D animation from Tiekyo Marycrest University, as well as HTML, PHP, and JavaScript and back in the day Adobe Flash. Lately I have been playing around with Python.
What do you love most about your job?
What I like most about my job is the the people I work with, the teams of which I am a part, and the growth opportunities within our company. The folks I work with are extremely helpful, encouraging, and knowledgeable (and willing to share that knowledge.)
What are you currently working on that you’d like everyone to know more about?
Currently I'm working on implementation for a variety of sites for our project managers, including the new BLOXDigital.com. I also setup Evvnt calendars and have been training for setting up and implementing BLOX Ad-Owl on sites.
What are you most excited about for the future of the news industry?
I'm excited to see the evolution of the industry. From the use of new technologies such as VR, AR and AI to how the industry will approach advertising in a climate where users are becoming increasingly protective of their personal information.
What's something people don't know about you?
I've been teaching myself Spanish for awhile now and am getting better and more fluent each week. I also thoroughly enjoy the singing and the songs by Mexican music icon Vicente Fernández. (And yes, I do sing along.)
