At BLOX Digital, we believe success starts with finding the right people. The work we do here is changing the local media industry, and these are the people who are making it happen. Today we shine a light on Stevie Longwith, Digital Advertising Operations Manager.
What is your background?
In college I focused on the computer sciences and enjoyed most aspects of the technology sector. After a few years with my son, I started at a small local newspaper group in ad operations in 2009. After several years managing the local and programmatic advertising for 30+ newspaper websites, I moved to a start up in 2013. There I worked on a native advertising platform and learned a lot about the code and decision making methods in online advertising.
In 2015 I joined the BLOX Digital Ad Ops team and have been focused on ad operations for our clients every day since.
What do you love most about your job?
I love working with our amazing clients and the relationships we get to build with them. Helping them solve problems on their sites and deliver a quality product to their advertisers is always a good experience.
What are you currently working on that you’d like everyone to know more about?
Currently I’m working on building help documentation for best practices and GAM 360 help. We are working to provide better guides for all clients when they are setting up and managing their local ads. The team is excited to build a better support system for all clients.
What are you most excited about for the future of the news industry?
I’m very interested to see how the industry adjusts to the changing privacy laws related to personal data protection. The digital ad ecosystem is making adjustments every day to adapt to new and changing regulations.
What's something people don't know about you?
I’m an avid gardener who would spend every day in the yard with my plants if I could.
