In this release of BLOX Syndication (version 1.61.0), we’ve added support for Washington Post feeds, improved CNN media updates, and introduced a new Reuters GraphQL channel to ensure future compatibility. Additional updates include better WordPress alt text mapping and improved AP search reliability.
Added support for Washington Post feeds to map the <source> element in each asset to the Miscellaneous Properties > Source field. Existing behavior for default or importer-defined sources remains unchanged. (SYNDICATE-553209)
Improved CNN Feed Ingestion to better capture late-arriving media updates by adding an extended check window. Assets now update more reliably with media changes after initial publish. (SYNDICATE-553249)
A new Reuters GraphQL channel is now available in Syndication. This update ensures continued support as Reuters transitions away from its REST API. Existing Reuters REST channels will continue to function, but new credentials are required to configure the GraphQL driver. Learn more about the migration and setup process on our documentation. (SYNDICATE-553311)
Updated WordPress imports so that media asset alt text now maps to the dedicated Alt Text field in BLOX, while captions continue to populate media descriptions. (SYNDICATE-553316)
Improved AP search reliability by preventing false rendition errors from appearing in search results. (SYNDICATE-553317)
