This update for Page Tracker provides additional support for Distributed Production with a new web-service to delete image toning preferences and the ability to forward approved PDF files. The latest update of Page Tracker also includes a new web-service to provide a list of available source applications, along with a few bug fixes.Â
NEW FEATURE
- The /pagetracker/savePage/ web service endpoint has been enhanced to support forwarding PDF files once all approval groups have approved the page. This option allows users to forward the appropriate PDFs for Distributed Production, regardless of user location or where the page PDFs were approved. (PAGETRACK-755)
- The /pagetracker/savePage/ web service has been updated to improve the handling of the ad_status_alert flag. Now, the ad_status_alert value will only be modified if the property is included in the request payload. (PAGETRACK-747)Â
- Page Tracker Version 1.33 introduces a new web-service to provide a list of installed source applications for a domain. The new web service ensures that users in BLOX Total CMS clients for Adobe InCopy or Adobe InDesign can achieve consistent search results with those in the browser interface by knowing the exact source applications available. To mimic the same search results accurately, it was necessary to know the available source applications for a given domain. (PAGETRACK-553984)
- A new web-service has been added to provide the ability to delete image preferences for sites using Distributed Production. Previously, two web-services were introduced to manage InDesign Client output preferences in Page Tracker. However, there were no options to delete previously uploaded image preferences, and the BLOX Total CMS client always downloads toning preferences during launch, caching the values instead of relying on a file. (PAGETRACK-553891)
- Page Tracker has been enhanced to support the deletion of .zip files, which previously could only be downloaded but not removed. This update is crucial for ensuring adequate disaster recovery for Distributed Production by allowing users to manage and clean up their downloaded files as needed. (PAGETRACK-553900)
IMPROVEMENT
- A new Page Tracker application setting has been added to organize ads by date. Various requests have been made for different methods to organize ad image files. Currently, Page Tracker supports three organization methods: by date of the month (31 folders for each day of the month), by the last two digits of the ad number (100 folders from 00-99), and loose (None) in the Advertising folder. A new customer request has led to the addition of a third option: organizing by the full publication date (YYYY-MM-DD). This new option allows ad image files to be organized by the publication date, generating folders based on the YYYY-MM-DD format. (PAGETRACK-553898)
- In response to user feedback and to accommodate specific workflow preferences, Page Tracker has been updated to include a new feature for auto-assigning page ownership. This update introduces a new checkbox in the Deadline Tracking accordion within the Application Settings, allowing for more flexible and automated management of page ownership. (PAGETRACK-553925)
- Page Tracker 1.33 introduced a significant improvement for the BLOX Total CMS Page creation application setting. The improvement no longer allows duplicate or inappropriate values. We have improved this request to allow for existing bad values, hyphens in naming conventions, and to ensure publication names can be set up and saved for new Hosted BLOX Total CMS sites. (PAGETRACK-553994)
BUG FIXES
- This update addresses an issue with the Geometry snippet selection UI in the Asset Editor's Add Publication module. We discovered problems with the display and functionality of geometry snippets, specifically that snippets were being displayed as UUIDs instead of their names and previews. This has been fixed. (PAGETRACK-553991)
In this release we are also making infrastructure changes that should not be noticeable to admin or front-end users. Should you encounter any issues or have inquiries, please reach out to customer support at BLOXDigital.com/support for assistance.
