At TownNews, we believe success starts with finding the right people. The work we do here is changing the local media industry, and these are the people who are making it happen. Today we shine a light on Danielle Ellis, Web Designer.
What is your background?
I've wanted to be a designer since I was eleven years old. After graduating from Charleston Southern University with a degree in Graphic Design, I started my career at a radio station that produced a weekly newspaper. After that, I moved on to work at a TV station for two years before finding myself at TownNews in 2019.
What do you love most about your job?
The collaborative and friendly work environment enables me to be creative and successful on all my projects. I have plenty of support from every one of my coworkers, especially the design team.
What are you currently working on that you’d like everyone to know more about?
The design team is currently working on a set of themes to give customers more out-of-the-box options.
What are you most excited about for the future of the news industry?
Watching the news industry adapt to the digital age has been interesting. It has been great being part of this change with TownNews by helping news outlets update and thrive.
What's something people don't know about you?
I'm a very creative person and am always looking for ways to express myself artistically. I am a classically trained singer, a self-published author (this sounds a lot more exciting than it is), a typographer, and have dabbled in acting.
