What is your background?
I come from an editorial background, working originally as a reporter and editor. But then I found enjoyment in building digital solutions for news publications. After graduating from Brigham Young University with a degree in print journalism, I spent 13 years working as a Digital Editor for a newspaper in Utah where I first started using BLOX Digital' products.
I began working at Lee Enterprises in 2020 as a client support specialist and email platform manager. I moved over to BLOX Digital product management overseeing messaging products in December.
What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing the newest developments and trends in the space of messaging, including email marketing, text messaging, and push notifications. It's rewarding to find solutions for the use of new technology to help our clients meet their goals.
What are you currently working on that you'd like everyone to know more about?
I am currently working on several improvements for BLOX Email Reach that will bring additional options for our clients, as well as new options for other types of messaging.
What are you most excited about for the future of the news industry?
I'm excited to see how technology evolutions can be utilized to help to draw in a wider variety of readers and users. Viewing new technology through a lens of a wider audience and wider reach brings many new opportunities to the industry.
What's something people don't know about you?
My husband and I have three sons, and we are die-hard Ohio State fans. If we aren't traveling to see family or to Ohio State games, we are heading to Disneyland or Disney World.
