BLOX Digital Service Status: [Advisory] InDesign CC 20.4 issues on macOS Sonoma and Sequoia – BLOX Digital recommends BLOX Total CMS sites running macOS Sonoma or Sequoia not update to Adobe InDesign Creative Cloud version 20.4 at this time. A pair of BLOX Total CMS sites on macOS Sequoia have reported issues with the InDesign client following the Adobe Creative Cloud auto-update to v20.4.

One site reported receiving a null response from the BLOX Total CMS login dialog. BLOX Total CMS Development believes the issue stems from the update process not correctly refreshing the BLOX Total CMS client code. This can occur when the Adobe update is set to retain preferences, which may cause macOS to copy the file the alias points to—rather than the alias itself—breaking certain dependencies. This may prevent the CURL library from loading, which commonly results in a null response during login.

Sites should continue using InDesign CC version 20.3 with the latest BLOX Total CMS client installed. BLOX Digital is actively monitoring and will provide updates as testing continues.
